STORM SEAL ARRIVA PARTNERSHIP
Tuesday, 23 February 2010 20:58

South London Storm are pleased to announce Arriva London as the clubs principal partner for the 2010 season.

The partnership will see the Arriva logo feature on the playing kit and training wear for the Storm open age teams as well as the Academy, Women’s and Masters teams.

Part of the agreement will  see Arriva support junior development in South London through their backing of the brand new West Croydon Broncos club. Arriva will also be supporting minis festivals in South London as well as taking naming rights to the two major Storm festivals, ‘Storm into Summer’ and ‘Stormin Saturday’.

In a first for the club, Arriva will promote Storm on over 50 buses in the South London Area for the duration of the summer season, thus promoting Rugby League to thousands of passengers every day.

Dave Jones the Commercial support manager for Arriva London commented on the partnership “Arriva have been great supporters of Rugby League and Community sport for a while and we are delighted to be backing South London Storm. Like us they have a strong presence in South London and the work they do to promote Sport in the Community to all ages and levels is admirable and something we are keen to help grow.”Storm General Manager Giovanni Cinque was delighted to welcome Arriva London on board “Arriva are just the sort of partner we are looking for. They have a strong presence in Croydon and Lambeth and are very keen to promote the benefits of sport and physical activity to local communities. We thank Arriva for their support and look forward to working with them closely”

Arriva London is one of the biggest bus operators in London, providing 20 per cent of the capital’s bus services under contract to Transport for London (TfL). Arriva London operates from nine garages in north London: Barking, Clapton, Edmonton, Enfield, Lee Valley, Palmers Green, Tottenham, Stamford Hill and Wood Green, and from six garages in south London: Battersea, Beddington Farm, Brixton, Croydon,  Norwood and Thornton Heath
