STORM SET TO FACE BUFFALO CHARGE AGAIN |

South London Storm Premier will travel up to Leeds to take on Rugby League Conference National Champions Bramley Buffaloes as part of the clubs pre season preperations.
The April 11th fixture at the Arthur Millar stadium, Stanningley, sees Storm take on the Buffaloes again for the National Express challenge trophy. 2009 saw the Leeds outfit make the trip down to Croydon. A fearsome and highly physical encounter ended in a 16-16 draw which saw the trophy shared. 2010 will see the London boys take on the Buffaloes in their own back yard, An explosive encounter is guaranteed! Storm will also travel to Leicester Phoenix on March 28th Storm 'A' begin preperations for their Rugby League conference London & South season with a trip to London League new boys Footscray RL on March 28th before taking on another new side Phantoms RL on April 24th. |

Our 1st team competes in the Rugby League Conference Premier Southern Division, playing against sides from across the South of England.
In 2005 the club were crowned RLCP South champions and reached the semis of the National competition, bowing out to eventual winners Bridgend. 2006 again saw the club crowned RLCP south champions however this time the club historically became the first London side to claim a national title when east lancashire Lions were beaten in the National final. 2007 saw a much changed side again reach the RLCP south final going down to St Albans. 2008 saw a new coach in Marcus Tobin and Captain Luke Bonnor. After a slow start the side rallied well to finish the regular season in second place. A semi final win over ipswich saw Storm face West London in the RLCP South Final. An epic battle finally saw Wests triumph 24-20. In 2009 the club claimed the RLCP South minor premiership, winning all their regular season games. Ipswich were again defeated at the play off semi final stage before for the second season running West London came on top in a tense grand final by 26 points to 16 |

South London Storm 'A' will compete in Rugby League Conference London & South in the 2010 season after four years of competing in the London League The London League was founded in 1965 and throughout most of it's history ran throughout the traditional winter season. However, with Rugby League increasingly becoming a summer sport the switch was made in 2000. The competition now works as a development league, operating one level below the ever-expanding and highly successful Rugby League Conference. 2006 saw Storm crowned London League champions. Since then the club have reached the play offs in 2007, 2008 and 2009. 2009 saw the team fall at the semi final stage going down 24-20 to Hemel Stags 'A' in a fantastic game. Storm will be running a third team in 2010. Storm 'B' will compete in the London League |

The South London Storm Academy team were formed in 2009 to provide a vital ink between the London Junior League at under 16's level and senior Rugby League.
The South London Storm Academy team compete in the London Under 18's competition and in 2009 were crowned champions in their debut year, seeing of Greenwich 42-26 in the grand final. 2009 also saw captain Saner Hasan, Billy Osborne and Alex Ingarfield selected to represent London & the South while Ingarfield also represented the England Lionhearts under 18's against both Wales and Scotland. History: Formed in spring 2003 growing out of the original South London Storm Junior age teams which played in the London Service Area competition from February 1999.
Playing ages: Playing ages: Juniors: - U12s, U13s/14s, U15s/16s Season runs from Feb to August Minis: - U7s, U8s/9s, U10s/11s - Season runs from March to August Training/playing details: Training/playing details: Juniors on Tuesdays from 6pm and Minis on Saturdays from 10.30-12.00 at Storm Park, Streatham Croydon RFC, Frant Road, Thornton Heath Croydon.  The South London Thunderbirds are the regions first ever girls club and will play at under 14's in 2009.
The Thunderbirds launch comes on the back of a successful start to the brand new girls program being rolled out across South London.
