STORM U18 ACADEMY IS BACK |

The season can’t come quick enough for the South London U18s squad as its players are all very excited at getting back to training and playing!
This year the academy will be coached by Mick Gray. Mick is an Australian school teacher and has a great knowledge of the game and has coached in some of the top Australian rugby league schools. He has a strong back ground in strength and conditioning and was an assistant coach for the Croydon Hurricanes U16s Grand Final squad in 2011. He also is a valued player for South London Storms first team.
As a U18 player the guys are coming into an exciting time and are at an age where there are a lot of opportunities to further their Rugby League career. Along side the extended Youth League they will be playing in, there is a Youth Cup they will be entered in, along with numerous representative opportunities. These include the London Origin Series, Regional Squads and National appointments. Involved in all these areas are the London Broncos RL who are using these events to bolster their academies and looking for future Super League players.

2012 New Player Recruitment Announced
South London Storm has announced its first two official player functions for 2012. The nights will be a chance for returning players to get back together and catch up before the 2012 training starts.
It is also a chance for any new players thinking about playing for South London Storm in 2012 to come along and meet the players and committee and see what we are all about. Everyone is welcome be it seasoned veterans to players who have not played rugby before - we cater for all levels of ability.
The first night is:
Tuesday 17th January from 8pm at The Underdog Bar, 16a Clapham Common Southside, SW4 7AB

South London Storm lost 46-10 away to St Albans Centurions on Saturday. In a game littered with mistakes, a one dimensional St Albans outfit came through stronger than the South London side.

Storm Win 9's Plate Final |

South London Storm won their first silverware of the season on Saturday as they triumphed 12-10 over London Skolars in the plate final at The London Rugby League 9’s Tournament. Tries from Dave Fone, Lee McArthy and Corbyn Thomas-Smith were enough to see the Storm home against their Cooperative Championship League 1 opponents.
